[ Shortly after the Captain's announcement, the next time November steps into the hallway someone accidentally bumps into him. There will be no apology. Trying to catch up with the figure will be useless, as a hood covers their face and they're gone before he can blink.
Instead, he will find something has been slipped into his hand. A small piece of paper, along with a badge depicting Orion's Belt that clips onto his cuff. All the note says is "Wear it." ]

[ It's no surprise to bump into anyone on the ship, especially not with the size of the crew. The lack of apology is a bit puzzling, as is the rapidly disappearing figure.
Those details recede as he palms the note in his hand. His pace is more solid as he goes back to his room, appearing nonchalant when ducking into the restroom. The note is simple, instructions (or perhaps there was some form of permission being asked) clear. Reaching into his pocket, he pulls out the well-worn lighter, watching as the paper burns away, ashes washed down the sink.
The badge is turned over in his fingers, contemplating how he wants to proceed. It could be a trap. Something to root out those who feel less than favourable about the recent happenings. Another option is it could be a signifier. Easier to find someone on your side when you knew where to look. Staring at his reflection in the mirror, he reminds himself that his partner's dead and that back on Earth, he has nothing to lose.
Without another thought, he clips the badge on, straightens his sleeve cuff, and goes about what he needs to do.

[ He's... listless. but isn't he always? This is exactly the mood he would find Wade in, spar with him until they were both nursing sore bones, and then drink hard to wash the taste of blood out.
